I like the old Drummer Boy EPs they did just as well.

It seems strange to see DNotY called "more traditional". I wouldn't really think of e-bow dirges as traditional...but I guess that aren't as many new ones on there.

I didn't really like Noel all that much. Starting the City On a Hill series isn't exactly a bright point in my book, although I guess it's a good thing that "Beautiful Scandalous Night" got some exposure from that...

The new RK one pretty much just compiles older RK seasonal tracks. It's hard to get excited about it. I guess it's worth your time though if you haven't gotten any of their other holiday releases.

It's too bad that Sixpence never got a Christmas disc in...

...and you missed two of the best Christmas albums ever, Harry Connick Jr's When My Heart Finds Christmas. and the Vince Guaraldi Trio's A Charlie Brown Christmas. Heh, that Harry Connick album even came out in 1993. Oh, and Jars and Over the Rhine both reference A Charlie Brown Christmas on albums you cited.

I'm looking forward to 1993. I'm going to guess that you'll mention Smashing Pumpkins, The Cranberries, and Mortal. It's too bad that you don't share my love of Zooropa - that'd probably be my #1 for 1993. I don't have my spreadsheet handy to remember what else came out that year, though...Danhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00868894814276101467noreply@blogger.com
